So, I saw this new blogger award out, and the blogger said that whoever read the post was nominated (as it’s a new award), so I decided to give it a go to support the blogger (partially due to the blogger being friends with my brother, who’s a blogger as well).
So, anyway, thank you Thony!
THE RULES:
1. Make Sure to include this banner in your award post. You can make it the featured photo or you can just attach it along the blog post.
2. Be sure to give markanthonyswall.wordpress.com (the creator of this award) a pingback on your post, so he can read them
3. You can nominate numerous bloggers of your choice, but make sure it isn’t less than 5 people
4. Answer these questions :
° Why did you started a blog?
° What/who inspired you to do it?
° What motivates you to keep pushing and creating content and make your site alive?
° Who are your fave bloggers? And how do they urge you to grow as well?
° What lesson/s have you learned through your experience?
° Have blogging brought impact to you as a person? If yes, what are these?
° Not everyone are confident enough to start a blog. What advice can you give ’em?
° Give 3 facts about you as a blogger (strengths or flaws)
° Drop down your blog post which you are most proud of (together with the link so we can read it)
5. The person who’s being nominated, and who’s about to nominate can add one more question of his/her choice to his/her nominees. [your additional question here]
And here’s his explanation for this award:
You might as well ask why I added the ‘facts about yourself’ which can be strengths or flaws, the reason why I thought of that is because I want to point out something. Some of you may think, ‘oh they’re the best of the bests because they’re nominated for that award’. It’s not like that. I want everyone to know that nobody’s perfect in this game. The goal of this awarding is to inspire, not to make anyone envious about nothing.
Also there’s a link dropping along the awarding, because I truly want it to be a real spotlight for all of us. I want the posts which you are most proud of to be given love, and to be appreciated. You took effort for that, that post deserve recognition.
The fifth rule, is also a chance for the nominator to ask something extra to his/her nominees. I want everyone to have a chance to truly learn from others. Asking is knowledge, we all should know that.
Okay, let’s get on with it!
THE QUESTIONS:
° Why did you started a blog?
I actually answered this in my very first blog award post – along with several others afterwards, lol!
I started to be able to post stories as I couldn’t get my stories published via a traditional publisher. Now, of course, I later on discovered Kindle, where I can get self-published and for free, so publish my stories on there, but I do still post on here.
° What/who inspired you to do it?
My father was the one who actually gave me the idea.
° What motivates you to keep pushing and creating content and make your site alive?
My love of writing, the fact that some of my stories have actually touched some people, and God.
° Who are your fave bloggers? And how do they urge you to grow as well?
Look, I have a few who are my favourites – and they are also my closest friends on here – but I’d rather not name them as I love each and every one of you and I don’t want anyone to feel jealous or ignored or left out, you know? If I have a favourite person(s), I prefer to keep that to myself to avoid problems with other people who may/might find out.
But it’s not just my favourite bloggers that urge me to keep growing – it’s everyone. It’s my family (which includes my WordPress family [who are also my favourite bloggers]), God, everyone I meet and talk to online (yes, even the bad ones in some way inspire me to keeping going and growing, even if that’s not their intention); every single follower and every single like I receive to my posts – it all inspires me to keep growing.
° What lesson/s have you learned through your experience?
Don’t follow along with everyone’s advice as that bogs you down; just post for yourself and God and don’t worry about what everyone else thinks; and that self-promotion doesn’t work – I’ve tried and immediately the views and all that dwindled down. I’ve found if I just leave it all in God’s hands, I get a lot of views and followers, but when I tried to step in, compromising my faith in God’s ability, it really dwindled. The views and such are more now than what they dropped down to, but never as much as it used to be.
So the big lesson I learnt: NEVER INTERFERE WITH WHAT GOD’S DOING. JUST TRUST HIM!!!
° Have blogging brought impact to you as a person? If yes, what are these?
Yes, it has. It’s made me confident in my writing abilities, and while before I started blogging I was the extrovert of my immediate family compared to all my siblings, blogging helped me a DEFINITE extrovert, lol.
Plus, it’s helped by providing an outlet for myself, which we all needed.
° Not everyone are confident enough to start a blog. What advice can you give ’em?
Trust God and don’t worry about the amount of views, followers, likes, etc., you get – just trust God to bring along the ones He wants and just post the content that YOU like, that makes YOU happy. Don’t bow down to the whim of others (i.e. – the ones who try to tell you what you should and should not do). Just post what YOU want, and you’re off to an awesome start.
° Give 3 facts about you as a blogger (strengths or flaws)
I’m sorry – did you just say ‘flaws’?
How dare you.
° Drop down your blog post which you are most proud of (together with the link so we can read it)
Well, I’m proud of all of my work, so I really can’t think of one, so I’ll have to go with ‘Most special’, which these ones are probably the most special to me:
Little People – because of how it was inspired.
KIDS!! – because…well, you’ll instantly see why when you go and read it.
The Irony of Love – because…well, that’s explained at the end of the post in an author’s note.
MY NOMINEES:
I have to pass along the questions I was asked but I also have to add one more at the end (which you all have to do as well if you choose to do it), so here’s the extra question:
Are you the type to take the situation by the horns or wait for someone else to do it?
Have a great day/night!
