Personal Update

Hi everyone, hope you are doing well.

So a little update:

I’ve updated the site a little bit – added a link to my Twitter to the website. Unfortunately, the way the site’s set up, it put it at the very bottom of the home page, and I’m not quite sure how to fix that.

I’ve started a scrapbook. It was originally a 2022 diary I had bought simply because the cover is AWESOME!!! And then I remembered I don’t like diaries – I don’t mind it for that ‘Dear Diary’ series I do sometimes, but for myself? No way. I somehow can’t do it. So I wasn’t sure what to actually do with the diary I had bought and then realized that I could turn it into a scrapbook and then I thought ‘Scrapbook!’ cause I’ve also always wanted to do that, but never got around to it. So, I’ve gotten my first scrapbook!

I’ve also done my first painting of this character I created that I’m trying to think of how I can use in a story – her name’s Yasmine and she’s a pirate elf. Going to do more character paintings at some point, but my next painting is going to be something for one of my brothers birthday on Monday.

Also, since the Australian borders have all been reopened, I am saving up to fly over to America in February to visit my long-distance boyfriend! 😍😍😍So excited!!!!! Will have to make some space in my phone for all the photos and videos I’m gonna be taking lmao But it’s gonna be good 😍Going to do him a Christmas present, but will wait until I go over in February to give it to him (along with his Valentine’s gift 😉 ) simply because it works out more financially that way cause I have a big family and trying to get Christmas presents for everyone while still saving up for February is rather difficult, so I think I’ll stick to handmade paintings and other sorts of presents for people this year.

Plus, handmade gifts are much more precious in my opinion 🤷

I also had this idea to write a book about some of my very traumatic experiences to help me sort through them and face them since they’ve been nagging at me lately and also to see if there’s anything I can uncover that I might have forgotten to make sure I try and heal in all areas, but despite how bad these experiences were, in my book (which I have begun writing) they inspired an epic fantasy plot journey for the book, so it’s actually going to be good, though there is a small voice in my head that’s concerned about how healthy this facing trauma method is. I’ve started a playlist for the book with songs that really felt like they fitted, so here’s the link if you want to give it a listen:

Also got a painting I did that was meant to be colour by number, but I embellished on it and added some objects to the landscape to help represent mental health and how deep it can get, so it’s pretty dark, but I wanna sell it, so if anyone is interested, send me a message on my contact page and I’ll send you a photo of the painting and see how we go from there 🙂
