So I don’t know if this is an actual award, but it seemed appropriate for the blog post title, so I hereby make this an award!!!! Not sure about nominations, so I’ll make it a free for all, go crazy, anyone can do it!
Anyways, I saw my friend and fellow blogger Jasmine do a post with a bunch of questions and her answers for her readers to get to know her and I wanted to do the same, answering the questions she had, so here goes!
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
On an island. Or a forest or mountain even.
What motivates you to work hard?
I don’t know really. It’s something that was drilled into me a lot by my father growing up to do my best with work around the house and cause he always complained about how little I and my family did no matter if we had just did a HEAP of work around the house and out the back, so to try and keep him from screaming at us, I would try and go around secretly doing not only my work, but others work that they were at that moment not doing because we were all scared of my father.
So, while working hard is a good trait to have despite how I got that trait, I guess it’s fear and the desire to please that mainly drives me while working, though I’m working on trying to deal with and heal that so that when I work hard, it’s because I simply want to and because it needs to be done, not out of fear or anything like that.
What is your biggest fear?

Have you ever had a nickname? What is it?
There’s “Rach” and “Rue” and someone over the Internet had the “Rae” nickname for me, though I can’t remember who that was. And then there’s my boyfriend’s nicknames for me, but they’re more private ones at this point. 😊
What is the worst gift you have received?
I haven’t received any bad gifts as far as I remember. Gift giving is a big thing for me, so I think not receiving any gift would be a big blow for me. And I don’t mean gifts as just material things, I mean gifts like time together, physical touch (like hugs, snuggles, touching hands, kisses, nuzzles, hair ruffles, head pats and such), a simple message or conversations with loved ones or words of affirmation or just some sign of love and affection – all of those I consider gifts, so to not receive any gifts of any kind (especially the non-material kind) would be a huge blow and would be the worst kind of gift
or lack of for me.

Hmm…I don’t know, actually….
What’s your favorite movie?
Probably Avengers: Infinity War or Avengers: Endgame
How old were you when you learned Santa wasn’t real? How did you find out?
I never believed in Santa. My family never tried to claim that there was some random weirdo breaking into everyone’s houses giving presents, they just said the presents came from them and we never really got into Christmas either for other reasons.
So I never really believed in Santa the guy, but I do believe in Santa in a way – in my opinion, Santa refers to everyone who’s giving presents to everyone, secretly setting things up for others surprise and delight the next morning. Spreading joy, light and all that other gooey, feeling stuff.

Depends on your definition of crazy, I guess.
Is there anything you wish will come back into fashion?
Um….I don’t know
Are you related or distantly related to anyone famous?

Does your family have a “motto” – spoken or unspoken?
Not that I can immediately think of.

Matt Damon…I have no idea why…

I’m both hellfire and holy water and the flavour you taste depends on how you treat me.
What is one thing you will never do again?
Have perculated coffee

Honestly? Stuff my boyfriend says when we chat – it could be romantic, funny, or something serious or just something small – but I like to think about it.
Then there’s any plans for the day
And I’m not sure about a third as my mind goes literally anywhere during the day

What kitchen appliance do you use every day?
What is your favorite childhood memory?
I’ve got a few – getting this mini-canvas thing from my father with a flower to paint, which I redid a couple weeks ago, but I lost it in the fire *sad sigh*
When I was very young I remember going and sitting on my father’s lap and us snuggling on the couch and I fell asleep.
When I was about four and my Mum was pregnant with one of my younger brothers and she let me try and little bit of coffee, knowing that I would find it disgusting and not ask for it until I was actually old enough to have it.
Listening to “Revival in Belfast” music growing up, I don’t know why, but those memories of listening to it as I grew up are very precious to me.
Wearing this specific jacket of my father’s – it was black and had all these paint stains on it (it was like his work jacket, that he would wear when working around the house). It smelled nice to me and had this safe, loving feel to it which I lost with my father growing up, but I would feel again when I would go somewhere quiet and wear the jacket. Which probably shouldn’t be a favourite memory, but wearing it is a favourite memory, so *Shrugs* don’t know what that says about me
Time spent with my Grandma.
And lying in either of my parents beds when I was sick or feeling down.
Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?
