Highlights of 2020

2020 was quite the year, wasn’t it? Coronavirus, social distancing, staying at home, wearing masks, and travel restrictions, the Beirut explosion, Pakistan airliner crash, bushfires, floods in Indonesia, etc., etc.

To put it bluntly a VERY shitty year, overall.

Especially for me and my family – one of my little brothers who has some form of epilepsy ended up not being able to walk or talk or really do much of anything so we had to go to Adelaide to get him help from the doctors there and he ended up being in there for two months before he could come back and when he came back he was able to walk and talk and all that and has been able to do all that ever since, praise God/Yah!

Another brother who also has some form of epilepsy (not the same type as the above mentioned brother) and there were a few problems with that last year, but thankfully, they seem to have worked out what’s causing there as there’s a displaysia or however you spell it on the left side of his brain that he’s going to have surgery for later this year to remove that part of the brain, so hopefully that will stop the seizures and he’ll be able to live life to the fullest without having to have to take the meds every day and night and without having to worry about the seizures or anything.

Then my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, which he still has. I have no idea what’s going to happen with him, I am praying for God’s/Yah’s Will to be done there, hopefully a recovery is what God/Yah wants for my father.

And my grandmother died around the beginning of December. I was there and I never want to see someone die right before my eyes ever again, especially someone I love. That was the hardest thing I’ve been through, it’s hard to believe it was just a month ago, it feels longer than that. She was such a beautiful and caring woman and grandmother and I just fucking want her back here so I can hold her and never let her go.

But there was some good things that happened last year.

I got to spend just over a week in January with Grandma and then when the brother had to spend two months in Adelaide in hospital, I got to spend just over a month over there spending time with Grandma, which was awesome!!! I got my fingernails done for the first time, too! But they didn’t last long XD

I started my own YouTube Channel! Haven’t gotten to update it in a while, so I’m going to do update it soon, but me and my brother and fellow blogger J-M’s History Corner started doing singing videos, and sometimes I got to do a couple solos, which was fun (and nerve-wrecking), but you can check out my YouTube channel here:

One of my books on WattPad was featured in a WattPad book club review! The reviews were all different, and they were all fun to read and discover people’s different opinions and ideas, but overall they were pretty positive so that’s a plus.

Also, I ended up meeting a girl I used to play with back in Kindergarten and now we’re friends again XD And I also ended up reconnecting last year with another girl I was friends with, but hadn’t heard from in years – it was a complete accident when I was browsing through a blog by someone who’s comment I had really liked, then saw this blogger on that blog I was checking leave an interesting comment, so went to check them out, too, and discovered that low and behold that that blogger was a friend of mine that I hadn’t been able to be in contact with for a few years! You can imagine my surprise and elation to find her! She is an awesome and incredible person and blogger, you really need to check out her blog, which you can find here:

Back in September my church’s youth group went in a hike which was a LOT of fun! Here are some photos and videos from the hike!

I took a LOT of photos, so can only show this small amount 😅

Also, me and my Mum went out to a Ladies Only dinner with a few friends, don’t have any pictures of that cause I didn’t have my phone at the time, but it was awesome!!! 🥳

I got a new laptop after my old one broke, and also got my first phone!!! 😍

I also turned eighteen 🤩🥳🤩😁 Which sadly I don’t have any pictures of that day, so can’t show any 😢

Got to celebrate my first Christmas in YEARS and also got to see new years eve fireworks for the first time in person 😯😯

The photos really don’t do it justice. Here’s some more photos from New Year’s Eve:

Also in December, I got my ears pierced, got to meet some relatives, go to the beach, museum, art gallery, and just have a really great time hanging out and meeting everyone!

And another excellent thing that happened last year, which is possibly one of the BEST things that happened last year, is that I got a boyfriend 🥰🥰 I’m really glad I met him and I still find it hard to believe that he said yes to me! He is so smart and funny and awesome and caring and so completely damn handsome 😊😍🥰💖

So while last year was overall shitty, there was some very good and excellent things that happened as well and I’m so thankful for that ❤️

  1. What a crazy year! Woah, a lot happened! I am so glad you had some good times among the bad ones! ” I still find it hard to believe that he said yes to me!” GIRL! Have some self confidence! 😂 THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN ABSOLUTELY NO REASON FOR HIM TO SAY NO! Now that’s cleared up, the fireworks are beautiful! I always love seeing the new years fireworks! Also, thank you for mentioning me! 😊 It’s so crazy you found me in the HUGE world of the internet after all of those years! 😯😯 But anyway, have a beautiful new year with lots of good times and blessings! 😊
