The Black Iris – Chapter 4

You can read the previous chapters here:

  1. Chapter 1
  2. Chapter 2
  3. Chapter 3

Enjoy!

“Whoa! Whoa!”

The man pulled on the reigns as he ordered his horse to slow down. As the horse slowed down, he guided it to under a nearby tree. Climbing off, he tied the house up to the tree, leaving enough slack for the horse to easily move about and nibble on the grass and other vegetation that was nearby.

He untied the burlap sack that was strapped to the back of the horse and pulled out some food – some bread that was still warm with butter and cheese – and began to eat it while he also pulled out a map of the country and once again went over what he had to do and where he had to go.

He needed to find the legendary saviour – Esther.

She was the only one who could help them.

So I know it’s not much, but it’s one of those chapters that are meant to set things up for stuff later in the story. Hope you all enjoyed!

  1. Wanted to let you know that I found one home for two of the kittens and we are keeping one. At this time it is undecided as they are all adorable but I believe we will be keeping the one originally called Tiger. Need to get lotto tix maybe I will win and not have to give them all away. 🙂
