Saying Goodbye

Standing here, shivering in the cold

Watching you walk away

All the things I never said, I now wish I had told

Cause now I realize that you might not be here for another day

I’ve always had trouble telling you

That I really, really care

But I honestly do

But I know that I haven’t always been fair

And now you are going away

I guess it’s true what they say

That you don’t fully realize what you had

Until it’s gone; and it makes me sad

I’m sorry that I haven’t always been there

When you wanted honesty

That just wasn’t fair

To you or me

So don’t stay away forever

Cause you are like a brother

You mean so much to me

Just come back one day, please
