3 THINGS ABOUT MYSELF:

I’m an author.

Huge fan of The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner book trilogies.

Fan of the Chronicles of Narnia movies.

KRISTIAN’S QUESTIONS:

Name something you like to see in a book, that makes you want to read further.

Well, if it’s a really good plot, and it isn’t too violent and if it’s really enjoyable, then I will stick around to the end. And if there is a really complex mystery in it, I will stick around to find out the answer. If it is an edge-of-your-seat book, then I will definitely read more of the book.

What would make you want to stop reading a book?

I rarely ever stop reading a book. There have been occasions where I am bored with the story, or it fails to intrigue me, so I will quit reading the book, but that rarely happens. I once read The Bourne Enigma, which was the first Jason Bourne novel I read, and the only one I will read. Even though the general plot was fine, the violence was extremely graphic and distracted from the plot and I couldn’t handle it. There was also rape and too much sex and swearing, which also distracted from the plot. I will never EVER read that book again and it has put me off completely from reading any of the other Bourne books. Nothing will ever cause me to read any of the other Bourne books. Unlike Bloodline by James Rollins, which had a lot of violence, but it didn’t distract from the plot, and was not as graphic as The Bourne Enigma. Twice I almost didn’t finish Bloodline, but I decided to finish as the plot was very intriguing and mysterious, and I have no regrets (though I don’t like the violence, it doesn’t distract you from the plot).

I also tried to read Confederates, but because of all the sex, I couldn’t finish it.

So, if a book as too much sex, rape, graphic violence, and too much swearing, I won’t finish it.

If they produced the story of your life, what genre would it be?

That’s rather hard to answer. I’m really not sure.

If you could have a plane ticket to anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Ireland.

What advice would you like to give to your ten-year-old self?

You are going to start feeling like a failure and that you are no good simply because you can’t work things out as good as others and that will cause you to be depressed for a while. Darling, please don’t be so hard on yourself when that happens. Don’t believe those lies. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. You are not a failure for having those weaknesses. Yah/God will still love you. You are not a failure in His Eyes. He wants you to be stronger in other areas. He wants you to do other things – amazing things. You are created for something special. You’re special to Him. Please don’t ever forget that.
